VCA500 allows to control the digital audio signal level. It is made of two main sections:

• One fixed gain stage (+/- 12 dB)
• One adjustable gain stage, remotely controlled using a normal potentiometer.
• One peakmeter displaying the digital audio signal filling, allows a accurate gain setting.
• XLR digital input and transformer (AES/EBU)
• XLR digital output and transformer (AES/EBU)
• Manage all digital audio signals formats
• Indicator of digital source errors.

APPLICATION:

VCA500 is intended to:

• Increase or decrease digital signal nominal level. For instance a  -21 dBFs signal can be increased to  -18 dBFS, or -15 dBFs.
• Adjust a digital signal level,in using a potentiometer, like to remote control amplified loudspeaker with digital input.
• Interface several sound level limiters like SNA50/SNA70 to control one or more digital channels. Example: using sound level limiters in large rooms, cascading  allows multi channel regulations.
