EXT113

MPX Digital Splitter

The EXT113 is a dual MPX192 dispenser amplifier. It enables the digital outputs of two devices to be multiplied, while maintaining specifications for each output that comply with the international AES3 standard (IEC 60958).

The EXT113 is transparent to transmitted digital data, and accepts as input a digital MPX signal with a sampling frequency of 192kHz.

The EXT113 is dedicated to the distribution of an MPX192 signal in fully digital MPX chains. Its internal 24bit/192kHz D/A converter enables analog demodulated sound to be controlled in the middle of the fully digital chain. This function is extremely useful for system maintenance. A technician can quickly isolate the source of the problem.

- Two possible configurations:

  • A (1 to 10)
  • A+B (2 to 5)

- For each Channel :

  • Automatic digital carrier detection.
  • Error detection.
  • Pilot signal detection (Stereo)
  • Balanced input on XLR and transformer (AES/EBU standard).

- Bargraph input control with two display modes:

  • MPX: MPX carrier level
  • L / R: level of left and right signals

- Balanced analog output on XLR on rear panel, reflecting the modulation of the bargraph and headphones for general listening.

- All digital audio outputs are balanced on XLR and transformers.

- The EXT113 features a bypass in case of mains failure. Output A1 is switched directly to input A; output B1 is switched directly to input B.

APPLICATIONS :

  • Transport of a balanced192kHz digital MPX source over long distances.
  •  Amplification et distribution d'un signal MPX numérique 192kHz.
