AMC616 is a VCA remote control and headphone output. It is used to make easier the cabling  with the ampli headphone, AMC620.

AMC620 allows (on a single connector)  the  amplifier volume external control, and the other for selecting the external control for the  headphones 1 or the headphones 2 to 6.
