CDM201 allows you to select one of two balanced stereo modulations. It has on each stereo channel A and B:

• Input level adjustment from -6dB to +6dB.
• LED modulation indication on the left and right channels.
• Selection by means of illuminated pushbuttons on the front panel with a protective cover.
• Channel A or channel B selecting removes the previous A or B selection.

The output is adjustable in volume and left/right balance.
A switch on the back of the front panel can be used to override these volume and balance controls. This mode is intended for use in studio switching where the audio transfer must be at unity gain and also avoids accidental switching.

Both inputs A and B and the output are balanced on XLR3.

In the event of a power failure, channel A is returned to the output via By Pass relay.

On power-up the output is switched to the channel A or B selected before the mains failure.

• Commutation of two studios to “On Air” modulation.
• Selection of two audio modulations to a send output.    
• Selection of two audio modulations to a monitor return.
• Selection and routing of the headphones monitor modulation to a “speak” studio used by several control rooms.
• CDM201 can look after the local broadcasting in case control room equipement needs servicing, as it allows a quick switching to satellite reception to any other emergency source. Therefore, the control room is completely isolated by simple automatic or manual commutation.
