Archives - Emergency message assembly
ZTM100 is an emergency intervention assembly, specially designed for unskilled people. During the studio closed hours, a speaker or reporter will be able to easily live broadcast warning or safety messages, for instance to advise people of meteor, or chemical pollution.
The idea is to use an already knownequipment, in this case a reporter KB cell, from which the microphone signal is drawn at the processor output. Of course, it is possible to provide a dedicated cabin with its own microphone and sound processor.
The equipment consists of two parts:
- A one unit rack ZTM100 to be inserted at the end of the signal path in CDM, just before the transmitter output or STL (connection uses balanced XLR connectors).Outside interventions, the broadcast signal travels trough relay contacts. It also features a lock loop, avoiding unattended switch when the studio is in use (in that case, the warning is sent from the studio) a headphone amplifier for announcer return, one monitor input to feed the headphone amplifier (tuner monitoring for instance), an audio output for off air test. Auxiliary GPI and GPO allow to switch a digital audio path in using AUF500. During warning transmission, the microphone signal from KB is sent to transmitter or STL (line level)
- A set of three boxes in KB:
